OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Senior man doing running training with physiotherapist in nursing homeStrokes, comas, and other serious injuries can make everyday life extremely difficult. It can be disheartening when you can no longer do something as simple as signing your own name. Being able to walk, write and bathe is part of what makes us feel human. Not being able to do these simple things can be frustrating and upsetting. This is why occupational therapy is such a vital part of rehabilitation care.

Occupational therapists help the clients focus on activities of daily living which include bathing, dressing, meal preparation, fine motor skills such as writing, along with improving balance and coordination, minimizing pain, and improving or maintaining stamina for enhanced independence. Occupational therapy helps patients return to their natural rhythm of life.

Agility Health has a number of occupational therapists that are happy to work with anyone to help improve everyday life. We will go at a pace that is client-specific. Everyone wants to get better quickly, but sometimes that is not always possible. We understand that your health is the most important part of the rehabilitation care process and we want to make sure that your therapy is pushing you, but not making you uncomfortable. Talk to Agility Health about how our occupational therapy will help you or your loved one’s rehabilitation.
